A New Chapter for Betanzos’ Heritage - Open Garden Days 2025 (28-30 October 2026)

The 16th-century Pazo de Illobre, once a private residence of the Countess of Taboada, opened the doors for the first time, for a 3-day event within the SOLIDGAR project.  "Open Garden Days," invited the community to get get to know the project, meet the volunteers and participate in a serie of differnet activities. This event showcased the transition from a hidden monument to a vibrant center for culture and sustainability.

The significance of this restoration has acaptured national attention. Our project was featured on TVE (Televisión Española) and in major publications like La Voz de Galicia and El Ideal Gallego. These reports highlighted how community-led efforts and international cooperation are breathing "new life" into Galician rural communities.
